The Doodette in the Water: A Doodle Trek Adventure

Today 12:55 P
It was another lazy day. We had nothing planned except for breakfast and I was thinking about the satisfying crunch of my kibble while I was laying on the cool tile of the floor. Sarina had walked in from the Lanai and sat down to enter commands into her notebook. Cici had trailed behind, but I hadn’t noticed if she came in yet.
I don’t know how long it was before i opened my eyes again, but I just couldn’t believe what I saw. There she was! Cici was swimming in the pool! I ran my paws over my eyes just to clear them and make sure I wasn’t dreaming. Yep, Cici was swimming with her head up and doing the doggy paddle.
I immediately jumped up on full alert.
“Woof, woof,” I barked. No response.
I ran next to Sarina to tell her Cici was in the pool.
“Woof, woof, bark, bark.” (Hurry up, get her.)
Sarina jumped up and ran outside. She saw the little Doodette getting very near the water fall. Without thinking, Sarina just dove into the water to rescue her. She grabbed her and swam to shore. Picking her up, we laid her on a towel. “Bark, bark.” Should we be doing mouth-to-mouth, I wondered?
Well, she was just wet and seemed OK. We dried her off. I need a treat.
After the resue adventure, I went back in the house for a snack and a nap.
